Great tire on the 450. (245/70R19.5). Got the tire on and immediately went cross country with a trailer. They do whine a little based on the road but it's a good whine. They did track heavy road groves a little but I expect that to reduce as I get more miles on them. Great tires highly recommend
I had good service and performance from Hankook tires on my 3/4 ton dodge so I bought the hankook Ventis line for my custom S-10 absolutely great tires for some back road racing and even a track day. I had some balance problems with the Ventis line of tire so I called Hankook and they had an engineer call me directly back and after explaining the situation he had me go to a local retailer and swapped out all 4 tires no charge no hassle, so MY experience with Hankook Customer Service was great. Based on these prior purchases when I needed tires on my 33ft Class "A" motor home I did some looking and went with the dh07 Hankook, this is a "Drive tire with more of a block pattern tread so they are slightly, not particularly noisier but a different tire sound from the rib type pattern, different to listen to on the road. I do a lot of Boondocking so I'll take the trade off of a deeper tire sound for a little ins. against being stuck in the desert somewhere. My opinion is: regardless what tire you may be looking for Hankook seems to have it covered at a competitive price and in my opinion great customer service, and great performing tires. I purchased these tires through Simpletire and when there was a glitch in the free mount/balance operation on my end ( the firestone we chose no longer mounts 19.5 inch) it was a little tough to get to a real person due to covid I guess but once I got ahold of Simpletire their rep handled it and had all four tires sent to a truck tire shop who mounted balanced and installed them no sweat. ALL AROUND A Pleasant tire buying experience. JJMON
We use the same tires at my work and they are awesome
Tires are awesome, work really well on lose and wet ramps pulling my boat out of the water. Tires showed up quick at my door and a very good price. They look aggressive and good on my 2015 f450
I haven't had them long enough to rate wear or snow handling. But I have no doubt they will do well. I have them mounted on an F450 so I'm sure it will put them to the test. So far I'm very pleased
Very dangerous tires
The previous DH01 tires lasted 70,000 miles without rotating on the drive tires opf a Ram 4500 that pulls a big heavy trailer most of the time. Hope these last as long. Delivery was fast and good. repeat customer.
I switched to 19.5 American Force wheels on my '03 Dodge 2500 Cummins quad cab 4x4 to see if I could get a bit better tire life and see what the compromises might be. My understanding is that because of the construction of 19.5's they cannot be run at low pressure so I have been keeping my fronts at 99psi and rears at 93psi, so far they seem to ride almost as nice as the Yokohama Geolanders they replaced but they do not track quite as well but still very acceptable. They are not very noisy at all with only a muted hum on smooth blacktop and the one long hwy trip I made I got 23.5 MPG. I have gotten a few chances to try these in some snow and ice and they were much better than I thought they would be as I run around with an empty truck most of the time, I'll be interested to see how long they last compared to the 17's I ran before.
Great tires! Have them mounted on an F450. Traction this winter has been amazing. Snow and even ice seem to be no issue. Haven't seen any mud yet and too early to comment on tread wear. They do hum but the tread is aggressive. Would buy again.
These Hankook DH07 tires are extremely aggressive. The traction both on road, and off road in the dirt is amazing, far exceeding my expectations. The only downfall is that I have not been able to get them to balance properly. I used Equal (internal) tire balance at initial install, and still had a vibration. I had more Equal added 2 weeks ago, it didn't help. I'm going to end up dismounting the tires to remove the Equal, and will have them static balanced with external weights. Hopefully this will cure the balance issue. From seeing these tires in person, I can tell they are going to be perfect for snow plowing, they have very aggressive siping, I love it. One thing to note-- these tires are very loud on the highway. Not like Swamper Bogger loud... but still much louder than expected. Given the chance, I'd buy them again just for the awesome traction and just turn up the radio, but be warned if you like a quiet tire, these are not for you.
Get technical:
Designed for drive axle positions, the retreadable Hankook DH07 tires are long lasting and offer all-season traction. Their 3 wide zigzag grooves prevent stone retention and enhance self-cleaning. Suitable for regional haul applications, these tires feature toughened blocks that provide grip on mud and light snow. The 3D kerf design enhances wet and winter traction and helps reduce irregular tread wear. On wet surfaces, the deep grooves evacuate water to improve grip for effective braking and acceleration.
