  • Atturo Trail Blade Boss

Established in 2009, Atturo Tire offers a high quality and unique range of tires at an affordable price point for SUVs, light trucks, 4x4s, trailers, commercial vehicles, and SxS applications. Over the years, Atturo has gained a huge fan following and has also earned a high reputation amongst enthusiasts due to its dominating presence in off-road racing, overland expeditions, and desert racing.

The Atturo Trail Blade Boss is the manufacturer’s stirring mud-terrain tire designed for use on Jeeps, light trucks, and SUVs, and has capabilities to offer year-round traction. This tire boasts cutting-edge tread design and new-gen technologies to perform on the toughest terrains. But are these technologies really gripping and offer superior traction on challenging terrains? Let’s find out in this Atturo Trail Blade Boss tire review.

    Features and Benefits

The Atturo Trail Blade Boss is a typical mud-terrain tire that offers drivers strong traction on off-road terrains such as mud, dirt, sand, gravel, and rocks. Made for use on Jeeps, light trucks, and SUVs, this tire gets a host of innovative features and technologies to let your vehicle effortlessly sail through the toughest terrains.

Thanks to Atturo's next level of engineering, the Trail Blade Boss features a cutting-edge, aggressive tread and open areas to create more biting edges and self-cleaning space to increase traction, evacuate dirt and debris, and excavate trenches. The wave channels and sipes present on the tread blocks improve wet traction and reduce road noise.

The center tread blocks feature ‘Kurki’ style knife blades that not just project rugged looks but also facilitate the flow of water and debris. The large, reinforced blocks at the base maintain the tire’s rigidity while rock climbing and boost the terrain-crushing power. The sidewalls of the Trail Blade Boss feature a solid knife blade pattern to provide extra protection from cuts and chirps and boost traction when the tires are aired down.

The optimized tread pattern of the tire reduces the tread noise remarkably and the sipes of this tire increase traction. The internal construction of the Blade Boss is sturdy enough to increase the vehicle’s load capacity and provide added protection to the tire. This tire has satisfactory year-round capabilities as its tread elements are engineered to prevent the snow from packing into the grooves and assure a solid contact with the road surface.

The Atturo Trail Blade Boss is available in 17- to 24-inch rim sizes and isn’t covered by any manufacturer's tread life warranty.

    Pros and Cons

So, should you consider the Atturo Trail Blade Boss or something else? Let’s check out the pros and cons before we wrap up our view in the end.

    • The aggressive tread design offers solid traction in deep mud, gravel, and sand.
    • Wave channels and sipes control noise levels and assure good grip on wet surfaces.
    • Attractive center tread with ‘Kurki’ style knife blades adds to the style factor and facilitates the flow of water and debris.
    • Fairly good when run on streets.
    • More affordable than most of its competitors.

While this tire is claimed to serve sheer excellence on challenging terrains, some of its drawbacks may divide opinions.

    • No warranty is offered.
    • Slight vibrations are felt while driving on paved roads.
    • Peers perform better in wet and snowy conditions.

SimpleTire’s view on Atturo Trail Blade Boss tires

    Atturo Trail Blade Boss

If you need a mud-terrain tire at an affordable price point and expect it to perform excellently in deep mud, gravel, and sand, the Atturo Trail Blade Boss is an ideal choice. As compared to competitors, its noise levels are in control and it even offers good on-road performance. With regular rotations, maintenance, and proper usage, the tire offers solid traction in the long run. However, buyers might not like the vibrations that are felt in the cabin while driving on the streets and the lack of a warranty. The Atturo Trail Blade Boss is a considerable value-for-money mud-terrain tire and competes against the likes of Nitto Trail Grappler M/T, Maxxis Razr MT-772, General Grabber X3, Toyo Open Country M/T, Yokohama Geolander M/T G003, and Mickey Thompson Baja Pro XS.

Vehicles the Atturo Trail Blade Boss is a good replacement tire for

Commonly used on Jeeps, light trucks, and SUVs, the Atturo Trail Blade Boss can be a good replacement tire for vehicles like Ford F-250, Jeep Wrangler, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Yukon, and RAM 1500.

Ran these for about 5K miles and beyond please. They still look brand new and ride smooth at highway speeds. Handle great in the rain! Would definitely recommend these to someone looking for a great tire. Only negative thing is between like 48-50/51 they bounce but thats partially due to balancing/front end needing to be re-done

The tires are strong but tread wears fast and tears while offroading. I have already had to replace one due to a rock ripping off tread but the tire did not blowout and got us home safely. So I am thankful for that. Keep making strong tires Atturo! Jesup Helget

got a set last week ,these tires ride like boggers on the road but they are smoother since they are radials.went to barrett lake trail over the weekend and these tires did excellent on the rocks , almost 0 slippage at 12 psi i was amazed at how well they grip . i have run bfg"s- goodyear - interco- &cooper tires on barrett and the rubicon, i can honestly say these cheep ass tires out performed them all when it came to traction on the rocks. they also work great at climbing loose dirt& rock , my tires are 37.12.50.17 . over all i would give them a 10 for rocks and over all climbing, on the road a 5. i havent tried them in mud yet but i think they would do well,ps very little rock scuff . wrangler mtr had more scuff than these for the same amount of use! this is an honest review , i get nothing for it! brian c placerville california
